An English-language magazine dedicated to local architecture, exceptional private homes — and the architects who give them shape.
Rooted here.
Read around the world.
LUMATER brings together exceptional local residential architecture, with particular attention to thoughtful work that remains beyond the spotlight. The magazine was created to give this work the considered platform it deserves - and to look closely at private homes, the ideas behind them and the people who make them possible.
Jewish individuals and families making Israel their home bring a discerning eye and a desire to discover the local architectural landscape. For this audience, we are creating an English-language platform to explore a world of design, materials and craft that has lacked a dedicated editorial home in their language.
Through film, photography and editorial storytelling in English, we also seek to open this world to readers overseas. To help local architecture reach new audiences, and give the outstanding work taking place here the opportunity to be recognised beyond borders and language.
Our full magazine is taking shape. We invite a carefully selected group of architects, makers and partners to help tell the story of local architecture through exceptional private homes.
